Course Description
The provision of health care continues to become more and more complicated — both due to advances in medicine and technology, and the internal regulations and compliance requirements that health care professionals face. No one health care professional can master everything, and certainly cannot do so independent of his or her colleagues. A well-functioning medical practice or organization will therefore require collaboration and knowledge sharing skills so that each patient and professional gets the benefit of the collective expertise of the whole.
Our workshop on Knowledge Sharing Skills will focus and develop the skills required to get the most out of internal interactions within your practice or organization.

Course Length Options
Knowledge Sharing Skills workshops can be presented as a series of two or three modules over time, or presented in full in a half-day workshop. We will happily provide you with greater depth on how we might best implement this material in your context, but as with most of our courses, you can make the assumption that the course length options provide increasing depth and skill development. For instance, an initial 90 minute Knowledge Sharing Skills workshop will be more focused on framing the issue than on skill development to navigate the issues presented. We always seek to provide actionable take-aways in our workshops, but will not be able to build competencies in this area at the same depth as a half or full day workshop will allow.
Another way to view our course length options is to view them on a continuum. Most of our courses are designed to move from Awareness to Competency to Mastery. The hour to 2-hour workshops will provide increasing depth of Competency with the half day workshop designed to provide very strong skills (Mastery) in the subject matter. That said, with respect to Knowledge Sharing Skills, there may be advantages to re-enforcing the skills learned with follow up experiences or related workshops.

Group Size Options
Small Group
5 - 20 ParticipantsSmall Group
Knowledge Sharing Skills workshops can work quite well in a small group setting, and can also be tailored for organizational leadership before fuller rollout.
Mid-Size Group
Groups of 25 - 100Mid-Size Groups
Groups of 25 – 100 can work well for introductory aspects of Knowledge Sharing Skills courses. Groups larger than 50 or so may not be as effective in the experiential aspects of the higher level aspects of the subject.
Large Groups
Groups of 100 - 250Large Groups
Large groups can also work well for introduction of concepts and the issues associated with Knowledge Sharing Skills workshops. In general, however, we would recommend that large group workshops would be followed up with smaller group sessions of attendees.
Conferences
Groups of 250 +Conferences
For conferences, we would recommend an hour to 90-minute breakout session to highlight the introductory aspects of Knowledge Sharing Skills. This will also provide some skills and concepts that attendees can develop post-conference.
